Talks are underway for Ghana to play Nigeria in London next month after Tuesday�s friendly between the two countries in the English capital was called off.
The match organiser made the decision to cancel the fixture following a third night of riots that spread throughout London.
The two countries are understood to be in talks for the game to take place in the city with the biggest population of Ghanaians and Nigerians in Europe.
The match will be played on 7 September if a deal is reached.
There is sympathy among the two countries for match organiser Justin Addo who lost thousands dollars in preparation for the botched friendly which means a deal could be agreed.
Ghana and Nigeria will be involved in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on the weekend of 3-5 September.
But the coaches will take advantage of the available midweek friendly date for a match to keep bonding their players.
Several Ghana players were devastated that the game did not take place but understand the decision to cancel the game because of the riots in London.
Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey and his Stromgodset team-mate Mohammed Abu as well Bristol City winger Albert Adomah were scheduled for their Ghana debuts when the game was called off.
Hundreds of fans travelled from Ghana and Nigeria to watch the match but they have also been left disappointed as they seek to return home.
Fans of the two countries living in London were also disappointed that the match did not take place but understand the decision to call the match off.
