President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is very optimistic Ghanaians will vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as president to continue with his dreams of Developing Ghana.
Addressing the Muslim community during the Eid celebration on Thursday, April 11, 2024, President Akufo-Addo maintained that Dr Bawumia is hardworking and best to continue with his legacies.
“Fortunately, the Vice President, Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, is the elected flagbearer of my party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), indeed, the first of the Muslim faith to occupy that important position, and is in pole position, by the grace and benediction of Almighty Allah, to take over from me on 7th January 2025, Insha Allah.”
“As a Muslim, I do not doubt that he will continue to work with you to enhance the benefits of the Fund for the development of Zongo communities. I do not doubt that I have been an inclusive President. I plead with you to uphold this principle of inclusivity for the equitable development of our country,” President Akufo-Addo said.

@Obi-ba, can you point out the innovative solutions that the MoE have implemented? This is not directly related but I find it difficult to understand why this government appears to be particularly interested in appealing to the weak minded populace which tend to inform the kind of projects that they undertake. Because, otherwise, as you have mentioned, in the face of inadequate infrastructure and resources, how sensible is it for government to provide all SHS students with a tablet each? How sustainable is that in addition to free SHS? Will government repair or replace them if there are faults or get stolen? Will government provide for each batch of students? What's the responsibility of parents? Everywhere in the world, governments look out for sustainable solutions, in this context, they would have liaised with companies to provide them at affordable prices and encourage parents to secure one for their wards. At worst, government will supply a number of them to the schools where students who cannot afford them can be able to borrow them and use them for their learning and homeworks and from time to time, the manufacturers can take these back and upgrade them. This is how to approach it by forward looking governments whose interest is in aiding students to be better and leverage on the current technological advancements. But it's obvious that in our case, it's all about a nine day wonder just to deceive the masses and get their votes.
The NDC is deliberately blind to every positive and effective policy implemented by the NPP government. However, this has become counterproductive at the expense of the NDC because it underestimates the intelligence of the good people of Ghana. They undoubtedly appreciate the benefits and the financial burden that have been lifted from them. The positive results in terms of children's academic performance are there for all to see, and no amount of word-of-mouth propaganda can undo them. If I were advising the NDC, I would rather ask them to suggest how they could improve the policy. The Ministry of Education has been innovative in the face of inadequate infrastructure and has instead achieved remarkable results. As I speak, I can boldly say that there are a lot of infrastructure projects in education across the country, and Ghanaians are seeing them. So the wishful propaganda is counterproductive.
@Brodaman, you don't have a child iñ the so-called free shs and that's why you believe it truly is. Ask those who have wards there and you will quickly take back the credit you are giving to this insincere conman of a president. Students sleep on the floor and in dining halls, with rats looking for food running over them whilst they're trying to sleep! This guy came to destroy Ghana and he was allowed to do it because of an equally uzless parliament. They can't even come to a concensus to protect a the country from an evil president!
I haven't used this word ever on any political figure, please forgive me but addo is so look supid, kaaaaaaawwsiaaaaaaaaa paaaaaaaaa!!!
Akuffo is the worst president in Ghana's history. The most corrupt and family and friends government.Ghanaians will vote massively against NPP because of Akuffo Addo and his family.Akuffo talks as if he has mental problems.
Akufo Addo had 4 main visions to accomplish as a President from his speeches, deeds and all other indications. 1. To implement free SHS 2. To empower his family and cronies at the detriment of destroying the economy of Ghana 3. To be the stepping stone for a Muslim president 4. To subtly promote and ground LGBTQ. He has achieved the first two and we will disappoint him in the last two.
@kane, let's give him credit for free senior high school policy because we will see the perpetual benefits of that in many years to come. But seriously apart from that, everything else has either been on a reverse gear or a very slow development or a destruction. Ideally, the government should have been impeached but if that didn't happen, we can't wait to say good riddance alas! We don't want anything Akufo Addo or Bawumia from Jan 7th 2025 God willing.
God will punish this wicked ***barred word*** for destroying our country. You have the effrontery to say this. what single good thing have you done since you came to power? The money you and your cousin have stolen will be there whilst you are gone for God cannot be mocked: Surely what you have sown is what you will reap!
Which are the good works? The imposition of extremely high taxes and duties, extremely high cedis depreciation, or the extreme corruption , or the refusal to sign the LGBTQ bill? Bawumia says he will do the opposite of everything you have done and you are telling us he will continue the bad governance. As for Bawumia, we know him very well that there's little or no truth in what he says, so between the two of you, who's lying in this context?
