The newly elected National Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has, in his victory speech, asked all the candidates and members of the party to unite towards a common goal in order to bring the party back into power.
Speaking at the just-ended delegates congress following his election as the new National Chairman, Mr. Asiedu Nketia alias General Mosquito noted that together with the new national executives, his "first assignment will be to work to unite the party and bring everybody who could not be endorsed today on board even as we match forward to defeat the elephant".
He charged the NDC to be strong and focused on their primary objective of wresting power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), come 2024.
He was optimistic to lead the party to victory.
"What we need most is unity," he urged the NDC.

The much held belief by the NDC that the NPP was sponsoring Ofosu Ampofo contributed largely to his embarrassing defeat. Now whether that is is true or not is not the issue, the issue is for the NPP to know how ready the NDC is such that they are ready to destroy their own once they suspect you have something to do with the NPP. Unfortunately the current NPP doesn't know it's own. 2024 will be interesting.
After lying about and destroying your opponents for power and killing each other. Yooooooo, we shall see
