The National Chairman hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, has charged the party’s delegates to elect him as the National Chairman on Saturday as that would lead to him giving the party a president.
“All you have to do is to elect me on Saturday as the party’s National Chairman, and I promise you that I will make whoever you choose as the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 elections the next President of Ghana” he pledged.
“Let me reiterate this point, with Ntim as National Chairman, I will only ask you to give me a presidential candidate and I will give you a President” he stated.
He also admonished his opponents to embark on a clean and decorous campaign as that is the only ingredient to foster unity after the Saturday elections.
He made these remarks at his campaign office when some delegates and party elders called on him to pledge their unalloyed support for his candidature.
Mr Ayesu Ntim comes across as the most experienced person for the job of the National Chairman amongst the aspirants vying for that position.
Political analysts and election pundits have all said that Stephen Ntim will carry the day looking at the support he enjoys amongst the delegates across the country. Saturday, 16th July, 2022 is the date scheduled for the NPP to elect its national officers.

I pray that this time round Stephen Ntim gets the nod to be the national chairman of the NPP, he is such a determined man, unfortunately a stranger was brought in during the koforidua conference and we all know the results he produced. How do you make someone who was not there at the beginning to be your national chairman and you expect to see a vibrant NPP. It was this Ntim man who donated Opel caravan cars to all 10 regional chairmen in the Kufuor era from his own resources, as to why some powers that be supported a stranger against Ntim buffles some of us. In as much as partisan politics is about numbers let's also respect the old faces because they were there from the beginning. Who will go and start a new farm, do the weeding, planting and when it's harvest time someone who never knew how the farm started now comes to harvest. The NDC will never allow that in their party. Am not a delegate but if i had the power, Ntim should be given 80-85% of the votes. The man has suffered.
