Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has hinted that bridging the gap between the Government and grassroots will secure the party’s victory in 2024.
He said when the communication gap was destroyed, foot soldiers of the party would not have access to the opportunities they deserved.
“We need to connect with foot soldiers as a party, consider the work they do on the grounds and prioritize their welfare at all levels.”
Mr Asamoah Boateng, who was the Director General of State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA) in an interaction with the media, said he had the right experience, approach and processes that will enable the party to win the upcoming general elections when given the nod.
He described himself as the right field commander to lead and manage the party towards breaking the eight agenda.
“I have what it takes to lead the party’s victory in 2024, the coming election is a watershed as our opponent NDC want to come back and we also want to maintain power”, he added.
He stated that the party needed a strong leadership which could engage Ministers and appointees of the party to find solutions to the current crisis for victory 2024.
He revealed that the NPP was the best in terms of managing the economy but was recovering from some setbacks and called for patience while the issues were being fixed.
Mr Asamoah Boateng noted that the party needed new energy and tough people to take tough decisions for the betterment and general wellbeing of all.
He stated that solid structures and reforms needed to be built to steer affairs of the party putting the grassroots into consideration as they do all the dirty works in their various constituencies.
Outlining his key strategies, he revealed that his intention was building a 60/ 40 agenda which would focus on party members to have a say in the appointment of members for various positions.
He intended to pursue the agenda to allow the party negotiate forty percent of appointments by the party and sixty to the President and his core team.
The Aspiring National Chairman noted that ‘Breaking the Eight’ agenda was not about big English but communicating and explaining government projects to the people.
He said ensuring unity was imperative in the victory process and therefore called on party foot soldiers to be calm and support the party even in tough times because they will soon be rewarded.
Mr Asamoah Boateng said he was contesting to build the party at all levels starting from polling station to Constituency, then Regional, build finances, ensure women empowerment and youth improvement among others to help make the party stronger.

Who needs grassroots when u have the army ?? Just carry out more massacres like techiman. Do your worse but Ghana will be rescued. The least said of this cathedral, the better. Service personnel, NABcO, school feeding, meteorological services, teachers, nurses, etc etc, this government owes them all after sooo much borrowed with nothing, absolutely nothing to show. We await 2024 patiently and this time, the army will break nothing. The massacre in techiman will not deter anyone. Ndc won the last election and will only need to keep it's eyes on the vigilantes in the army.
Yes, that is the truth but under akuffo Addo, the worse off Ghanaian to is the NPP party foot soldiers. Under Kufuor we saw a vibrant NPP for 8 solid years. The fact that Akuffo Addo secured 49% lead in the 2008 elections meant the NPP was still the preferred choice of Ghanaians. The reason being that kufour and his appointees had a skill of moving government and party together, the current NPP leadership both at the level of government and party lack that skill. If you have leaders who don't look back to check on their followers, that leader has no future. Kufuor and his appointees never forgot for once that they owe their positions to the ordinary NPP supporter. A minister or MMDCE could sent for an ordinary NPP person with no economic or social standing in society and bring that person to the limelight. I know of young men and women who were economically empowered by kufour's appointees. Under Akuffo Addo, five years on i can't pinpoint to one, not two, just one NPP person in my constituency who's life have changed for the better except the DCE. Even the party chairman is struggling. It's like the the Akuffo Addo NPP is not a blessed one compared to that of kufour. With the calibre of appointees in this government i doubt whether any thing will change. They are behaving like the hunter who went to hunt for game. He was able to kill a buffalo, a zebra, giraffe, hippopotamus, an elephant and an antelope. On his way he met a colleague hunter who was only able to kill a rat, he decided to roast the rat because he was hungry. When the rat hunter invited him to the rat meat, he joined him despite all the animals he had also killed. This is a perfect description of the akuffo Addo appointees. What they forget is that they can amass all the houses, cars and cash, but they don't have control over how long those things will sustain them. If people have fate in you and make sacrifices for the common good and you think you can abandon them and grab alone, it's like using saliva to build a house, the dew will bring it down. Anybody who cheat others to be successful will regret in life. In the beginning you will think you are making progress, in the end thank God if you don't become a beggar later in life. We are watching. Ask some of those arrogant small boys who lost their MP seats in 2020 and were thus denied ministerial positions .Some who were deputy ministers were changing V8's left and right.Today the NPP is still in power, they now drive pickups when coming home because they can't fuel them. What they are currently experiencing is the group stage, the knockout stage is yet to come. As for this NPP it's the direct opposite of the kufour one. Sad
