Legal luminary Tsatsu Tsikata has described as “a serious allegation” the calling of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the “mother serpent of corruption”. Former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu described President Akufo-Addo as such after accusing him of interfering with his work.
It was contained in his resignation letter, complaining about the determined effort by the president to block him from investigating his Finance Minister and cousin Ken Ofori-Atta in the botched Agyapa deal.
The former Attorney General said Mr Akufo-Addo took office looking “like an innocent flower of anti-corruption but being the mother serpent of corruption under it”.
Speaking in an interview with Media General‘s Alfred Ocansey, Mr Tsikata said the manner in which the appointment of Mr Amidu ended up tells a lot about the commitment shown in the fight against corruption under this government.

Mr. Amidu should give us a break and stop talking evil about our dear President Akufo-Addo. We Ghanaians at long last know who Martin Amidu is, a disappointing personality who has not been able to live up to the task of what he put up to Ghanaians to be as a citizen vigilante. Indeed, he had failed awfully, as a special prosecutor, a position that is an accurate proofer to a citizen vigilante, in a real sense. Marten is, therefore, better advised to stop that cheap save-face maneuver. You see, using an expression like mother serpent is populistic in effect, but it's nowhere near any attributions of our hardworking incorruptible President. It's absolutely impossible, for any NDC bigwig to be intellectually passionate about issues, and this applies equally to Mr. Tsikata, the law genius.
Please we know where you are coming from. You cannot succeed in throwing dust into our eyes by joining in the chorus of frustrated and failed corruption fighter!
Mr.Tsikata is envy Mr. President for being a successful lawyer who has a records in Ghana's law book and again being president of Ghana for two terms compare to Tsikata's records both in law and political light. He was a CEO for GNPC and due to corruption he is now talking about with regards Amidu reference that he is the 'mother serpent of corruption''. Lets enters into archive and bring out who the mother of serpent for corruption fits .Tsikata as CEO at GNPC diverted stated money into private company known as valley farms and that smartness landed him into jailed so Tsikata can be classified as mother of mother serpent for corruption not the current president. In Ghana today n the most genuine and incorruptible president is Mr. Akufo addo and not Tsikata whos once jailed for corrupt practices
