The work of a National Organizer of a political party involves organizing and galvanizing the youth base but also demands having a personal relationship with people of different characters.
Before one can become a political party's National Organizer, he or she will have to be elected first but after the election, what next?
Sammi Awuku, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organizer, joining the Thursday ''Kokrokoo'' team on Peace FM took the listerners on a ride into some of the various personalities he has interacted with in his line of duty.
He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that he is a "street boy" and as a street boy and NPP National Organizer, he moves with different kinds of people so as to win their votes for his party.
He revealed that one group of people he has interacted with are robbers.
This revelation by Sammi Awuku shocked the panelists on the 'Kokrokoo' show, particularly Atik Mohammed who inquisitively sought for clearer explanation.
In answering Atik's question on what he means by walking with robbers, Mr. Awuku said the robbers' votes are equally important.
"I'm a street boy; I know the game a little. In this job, I don't walk with only Bishops. I move with bad boys. I walk with Pastors. I even roll with some who are robbers. If you're going for vote, you don't have the time to convert such a person to become a Bishop before he votes for you. So, what you do is to manage him while placing him under the supervision of a Pastor for him to change," he expounded.
