People like Amo lived under the radar in the countries they claim to have been to. They went through those countries without the countries go through them. What people like him failed to recognize was the significant role of the state in introducing things that allow the country to break through in its development, in this case digitalization of the economy. Mahama and Bawumia is continuing. We the people are all for it!
Dr Sam Amo must be a medical doctor and not a historian or an economist otherwise he would not be taking about this Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana ***barred word***. Does he appreciate how crucial digital adress system is to transforming an archaic economy system like the one we have now? Why did the Nkrumah regime fail to establish this? This is something that should have been completed years ago. Posterity will no doubt recognise this as a turning point in the transformation of our economy. You claim to have lived in the UK, Germany, Timbuktu.... Can you imagine how life would be without an effective address system. Banking, postal and local government? Please give us a break; you think these countries you mention just woke up one day with an address system in place. Check your history. It is the most important important policy in this 4th Republic. I am so proud it is happening now. Better late than never.
Free address plates for houses? What's the reason behind this waste of money gesture? Doesn't the government not having any progressive ideas anymore? I've lived in Germany, UK Canada and Singapore. I've never heard of any government giving address plates to houses and the vice president moving around to inspect address plates. Eiiiii Kwame Nkrumahs Ghana paaaa nie? Hmmmmm There will definitely be a judgement day.
