The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful a few days ago, shut down the MTN office at Dansoman Zodiac for flouting the social distancing rule.
The Minister was reportedly passing in front of the office when she observed that a lot of people were gathered in front of the office with no regard to the fact that there is a virus lurking in the corner.
Infuriated, she ordered for the closure of the office until better precautionary measures are put in place
In a video shared on social media, she could be heard asking persons gathered in front of the office whether they cared more about what they were doing at MTN than their lives.
Some persons have described her tone as too harsh and that she could have still sent the message across without shouting. Others also think that some Ghanaians are too stubborn and that if you are not forceful or strict as far COVID-19 is concerned, they will not listen.
In an interview on Neat FM's 'Me Man Nti' program, Dr Arthur Kennedy, a former NPP presidential hopeful, agrees that the Minister could have educated the people in a more sober tone.
"Her message to the public was a good message but her tone could have been better; she could have lowered her voice a little bit and be more educational; it almost seemed like a headmistress talking down to her students," he opined.

Why is so much ha+red and envy directed at this intelligent no n0n-$enSe beauitiful woman Ursula by mys0gyn2$tic men and politicians like Arthur K and the c-r-a--z-y bunch in the largest 1rr£sponsible opposition party in Ghana? Covid-19 is serious and if a major brand like MTN will by their actions place customers at risk, can't the minister speak out? Damned is she does, damned if she doesn't. As a medical Doctor, what has Arthur Kennedy done in the fight against COVID-19 in Ghana? Not even a donation from his hefty salary for a bog roll. Aside remaining abroad in the USA and offering his service there. Give us a break, you fai-ld politician.

They should have also known better. Arthur Kennedy, give us a break;the elephant you chastised has come to instill discipline.
It does not matter how she spoke... if that is what will force people to behave them we are ok. We are not in normal times. Otherwise this deadly virus will wipe us all out if we are not careful.......
Can we stop all these political n0ns3ns3 and start being realistic with what we are confronted with now. This virus is real and its literally taking thousands of lives all over and we have some of our people behaving so irresponsibly. Harsh words? Tone of voice? come on!!! We might have to adopt the Chinese way of using military force to get people in line. Please please please people, lets shun the political talk and get real.
In her mind Ghana belong to her, so when a person thinks this way her behavior also confirms the mindset. Like Arthur K said, though he was giving a laudable message, her presentation was as if a slave master was speaking to persons he has taken hostage. Pride!
