National Democratic Congress [NDC] Member of Parliament for Builsa South constituency, Dr. Clement Abasinaab Apaak says government must meet the demands of aggrieved teachers and desist from ‘playing politics’ with teachers-government issues.
The three teacher unions, the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT) are currently embarking on a strike over demands for payment of legacy arrears.
Dr. Clement Abasinaab who was speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show described the strike as “worrying” – but indirectly blamed the Akufo-Addo government for the unfortunate action.
“When you take over governance, you take over assets and liabilities. Government officials are rather provoking teachers with their utterances,” he said.
High Court Orders Striking Teachers Back To Class
An Accra High Court has ordered the striking teacher unions to discontinue their strike action.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers have also been ordered by the court to comply with the directives of the National Labour Commission.
The Commission ruled that the strike action by the teacher unions is illegal and directed them to resume their duties with immediate effect.

If it's an achievement chalked now, NDC would say it's theirs.
If it was so easy, why did you choose to pay 3 Months out of 12. Any way are you still keeping the elder position in your church . You wanted insecurity in Ghana but didn’t come to pass
You were in government, refused to pay the teachers and stole the money for your campaigns. Now you are sitting back there expecting government to pay for all that you looted. And these are characters who are daring to think that Ghanaians will vote for them again. For what? To come and loot again?
