The Minister of Railways Development, Mr Joe Ghartey, has called on members of the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stay united and work hard to win more votes for the party in the 2020 general elections.
Addressing a conference of the youth wing of the Upper West regional branch of the party in Wa last Saturday, Mr Ghartey urged the youth to intensify the campaign in the region to propel the party into victory, saying that there should be less talk and more action.
He said the party, from all indications, was the best to govern the country and as such should not be swayed by the propaganda of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“There should be no unnecessary infighting and bickering within the youth ranks of the party since that will do more harm than good in the future. The future of the country is bright”, he said amid cheers from the delegates.
The conference, put together by the regional youth organisers of the party, was also meant to mobilise the youth and get them prepared for the task ahead to retain the NPP in power, in the 2020 elections.

The National Youth Organiser, Mr Henry Nana Boakye, said the youth would be resourced, including providing them with motorbikes to facilitate their activities.
He said the government was delivering on its campaign promises of improving on the lives of the citizenry, especially the youth.
He, therefore, asked the youth to intensify the campaign to propel the party into a resounding victory in the next election.
The Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, asked the youth to remain united, promising them that the party was ready to provide the necessary support to facilitate their activities from house-to-house and educate the people on government policies and programmes.
