The national hierarchy of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] has noted that the Central region first Vice-Chairman, Ekow Ewusi's suspension is ‘valid’ until further notice.
The party’s Chief Scribe, John Boadu said on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that his office has received a formal letter from the region to suspend their first vice-chairman – but the party is yet to decide on it.
Even before the party decides, John Boadu was emphatic that Ekow Ewusi’s suspension still holds.
“As it stands now, yes, he [EKow Ewusi] has been suspended,” he told host Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman.
Mr Ewusi was suspended by the regional Chairman, Robert Kingsford Kutin Jnr after he refused to respond to a petition by one Edward Okraku Adum, who accused him of engaging in criminal acts including drug peddling.
He was also accused of escaping from prison in the UK as well as illegally auctioning seized excavators from mining sites.
The Regional Vice-Chairman is said to have asked the Chairman to produce the said petitioner to authenticate his claim before he responds to the claims which he agreed to do within a week.

Ray, I disagree with you. If Mr. Ewusi feels the allegation is not true he should just respond as such, that's what we call rule of law but he refuses to do so, I personally think that amounts to insubordination and he must be suspended.
John Buadu louzy s[iver plater General Secetary you did not suffer for it. can you compare yourself to AsieduNketsia? A big no.you sit in your comfort and allow ***barred word*** issues that can be solved within a minites,to escalate ***barred word*** kwa.Are you waiting foran advise from that you ***barred word*** friend kofiadams before you reason? ***barred word*** mans son indeed,You have been running your mouth without making sense,im mad at you to me, you are notgood to be General Secetary you can not cominicate good, look how many seat did your Assin district won in central region as compare to fante land? What is criminal is criminal. A party must not condone. If he couldn't respond to allege criminal behaviours, then he must be suspended. There are so many people in politics in Ghana who have criminal records oversea, and yet they come to Ghana, join a party and are given positions. They hen begin to dupe the country. Asamoah Boateng, chairman Wontumi are just a few!
Politics is about numbers but individuals cannot be bigger than the party. I support the General Secretary on the suspension of Ekow Ewusie who must know better and endeavour to respond to the queries to exonerate himself. Days when individuals could hijack a party are over.
Hei, NPP politics is about numbers> Learn to resolve your differences and not divide your ranks. You suspended Paul Afoko and Kwabena Yeboah and till today you have not made any effort to bring them back. Now you are suspending Mr Ewusi or whatever his name is. Remember that he has at least some few follows they also may feel hurt. They may not leave the party but they may stay home at the time of voting.Call this man and resolve your differences. Remember as a party you are also a family. When a family member err you do not throw him or her away. Be wise NPP.
