The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has exonerated former Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Mr. Charles Cromwell Nanabanyin Onuawonto Bissue, from allegations of corruption.
However, Special Prosecutor, Martin A.B.A. Amidu says he is still investigating the issue.
This has generated controversy as many don't know if they should work with the CID report or wait for Martin Amidu to conclude his investigation.
Speaking to this on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper says some aspect of the CID report is "sketchy".

This is one of the most SSENNSELLESS exonerations I have ever known in my life. Which evidence is as glaring as video evidence? As someone said, you want to build a temple for God yet you are not ready to punish evils that take place under your nose. For this one act, I know that politicians are the worse that the devil.
With so many churches in the country, one would think that people are righteous and God-fearing. Why are you hell bent on whitewashing and recycling convicted criminals? Why are you glorifying evil and at the same time building a cathedral? Why is the majority so quiet while the criminal elements are so ubiquitously loud ? Who is on the Lord's side ? Who will claim the moral high ground?
