Former President and Flagbearer of the opposition NDC John Dramani Mahama says several Ghanaians are angered by the leadership style of his successor, Akufo-Addo; a situation he explains has visited an unprecedented hardship on the citizenry.
He encouraged Ghanaians to turn up in their numbers at the party’s demonstrations dubbed ‘kum yen preko’ in order to vent it out on the government.
Mr Mahama in a post on his Facebook timeline indicated that “there is a lot of pent-up anger among Ghanaians and it’s beginning to manifest even among the security services. This manifestation gives all the allied groups participating in it, the opportunity to vent.”
He added that “it is in our country's interest that we speak out and demonstrate our disapproval of the Akufo-Addo style of leadership, which has visited unprecedented hardships on Ghanaians.”
The ‘kum yen preko’ demonstration is a march which is to protest against the government over ‘hardship and oppression’ in Ghana under the Akufo-Addo led NPP government.
The protesters according to the organisers, Coalition for Social Justice, will walk through some principal streets of Accra after which an address will be made by the leadership of the team.
The NDC Flagbearer who will be participating in the demo in his post to create awareness bemoaned that “our country is on the downward trend, with an unbearable increase in the cost of living; the citizenry doesn’t feel safe and yet Government continues to oppress and intimidate the people including journalists. This state of affairs is a threat to our democracy especially as the moral society remain unconcerned and surprisingly silent on the developments in our country, Ghana.”
Mr Mahama, however, urged Ghanaians to the demonstration in order to show their anger against hardships, insecurity and oppression.

Leader of the NDC is not ready for power he is still not competent enough to be a president of Ghana. His public utterances does not depict a good leader. Media attacks started during era of Mahama when a journalist camera was broken down by his appointee. He should know that Ghanaian s have tried him and concluded that he is a suitable for the country. During your term as president atrocities that you are talking about happens so we do not have short memories as always talked
GET AWAY THERE. YOU TALK LIKE AN INTOXICATED MAN. YOU GREEDY MAN. LEAVE OTHERS TO STIVE FOR THE FLAGBEARER POSITION AND GO AND REST.
Mahama, I prefer to keep my thoughts about your INCOMPETENT Presidency to myself. Very soon you will be ex-, ex-, Even your manhood would be ex.
Because there are no create loot and share again. all the loop holes you created and the dubious judgement debts are no more not forgetting the free sharing of V8
John Mahama paaa dieee, if Ghanaian's were satiafied with your leadership style, how come you got 44%, the lowest ever recorded by an incumbent in Ghana's fourth republic?, Akuffo Addo may not be doing well but Mahama is certainly not the alternative. The fact remains that President J. A. Kufuor stands tall among all presidents of the fourth republic, may be Akuffo Addo needs to contact him for tutorials.
Wow...this man has no shame.
