Members of Parliament will rise again today after an emergency recall by the Speaker for members to conclude on some issues before the House.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency, Hon. Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu explained that they have almost completed discussions and passed certain bills.
"Though we are not done, we hope to complete discussions today and then rise," he said.
Explaining why and how the Vigilante Bill was not part of their agenda during their one week sitting, he noted that they hope to begin discussions immediately the Peace Council is done meeting with the political parties.
He added that Parliament will resume full sitting on 28th May to continue with deliberations of the House.
