The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kwabena Kokofu has bemoaned the playing of politics with the recent kidnapping cases in the country.
According to him, the fact that the three Takoradi kidnapped girls have not been found does not mean the government and the police are ‘asleep’.
There have been conflicting reports on the whereabout of the girls.
A Daily Guide report indicates that the three girls have been found and are receiving treatment at an unidentified health facility.
The police have however denied the report. This has created more agitation and anxiety among family members of the kidnapped girls as they don’t know whose report to believe.
Meanwhile, the families of the three kidnapped girls have scheduled to storm the Police headquarters in Accra on May 2, to know what exactly is happening.
Speaking to these developments, Henry Kokofu requested that the ‘police be given more time’.
