General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, believes the conduct of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in relation to tackling vigilantism stimulates violence.
The NDC Chief Scribe demanded to know whether "between the leaked tape that allegedly captures the voice of Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and those who caused violence during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, which one must be prosecuted first?"
To him, President Akufo-Addo should first have ordered for the arrest of the perpetrators of that electoral violence instead of attempting to crucify the NDC National Chairman.
Reacting to the charges against the NDC's Chairman, General Mosquito as he is affectionately called said "Nana Addo is not a man of peace because violence has always be his trademark."
Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that the genesis of Ofosu-Ampofo's leaked tape is questionable; reiterating that Ayawaso West Wuogon by election violence should be of paramount interest to the government.
"I don't understand why Ofosu-Ampofo should be crucified while those who shot to death others, go unpunished . . . the President's attitude is calling for and enkindles violence," he fumed, adding that "for peace to be restored its goes beyond Law because there is common truth about peace and violence".

Asiedu Nketiah bring all your children from Canada to come and fight for you and Ofosu Ampofo whose children are also outside this country. This is the only Ghana and country we have and we will not sit down unconcerned for your greed for power to destroy. Where are the children of John Mahama and Nana Addo - they are outside. No one is going to fight and die for any of you please. Asiedu Nketiah reason up as an elderly statesman!
Old man without brain talking
There live a President who is "***barred word*** thug, with a lizard brain” who “guarantees his survival above all else.”
Opanyin, for years you have been leading your boys to haul insults and defamation on Nana Addo and it's not been working, won't you stop? You are too old for this....
listen to this ***barred word*** an1mal you think inciting people to engage in violent will usher you into power, those hoodlums who will try anything silly will find them selves in jail
This man is really mischievous! May the Lord have mercy on him
Am sorry sir, the two cases are different and don't try to marry them together. You know the effect of what will happen to Ofosu Ampofo that's why you want to incite people to do this. Let us allow the laws to work. If those people involved in Ayawaso case deserved to be punished so Ofosu Ampofo also deserved to be punished for his wrong doing. Please allow we the ordinary citizens to have our peace of mind in this country
Ofosu Ampofo and NDC caused the election violence in Ayawaso and that is why he needs to be prosecuted. As a party chairman, you should know and mind what you say at anytime. It is the laws of Ghana dealing with Ofosu Ampofo not the president. Did the president ask him to open his mouth wild? Ghana needs responsible leaders not reckless leaders like those we have in NDC. Ghanaian law will deal with anyone who try to incite violence by his/her pronouncement or actions. We have only one Ghana and we shall not allow greedy leaders like Mahama and Ofosu Ampofo to derail the gains we have achieve as a country. May Allah bless and guide the president and his team to move this country forward. Ameen Thuma Ameen.
ARE YOU ALRIGHT.
