Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide wants the relevant institution responsible for the current power outages to open up to Ghanaians about the current energy situation, and if possibly, render an apology to the public.
The power outages, popularly known in the country as ‘Dumsor’ has been going in the capital for some time now and government insists it is not ‘Dumsor’.
Power Distribution Services (PDS) keeps attributing it to technical challenges, rainfall and others. Meanwhile, this problem persists.
Speaking to this during a panel discussion on Peace FM/s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Pius Hadzide opined that if the public is told the truth about what exactly the problem is, "Ghanaians will understand".
“ . . the relevant body must apologise and then give us a road map of resolving those challenges and an indication of when it will end. If there are technical challenges, we should be humble enough to accept and apologise. It’s a human institution so if something is going on wrong, Ghanaians will understand . . . we should be truthful to ourselves,” he said.
Meanwhile, information rife indicates that the Minister of Energy, Peter Amewu will be holding a press conference to reveal what is causing the frequent power outages.

This Dep. Minister was offered the positions just so the #9s can be represented in Gov't but it's bpvious he definitely not up to the task. He keeps making a bu-ff-oon of himself. Is this the caliber of folks NPP sounded "We have the men" "We have the men" Then Ghana we're in trouble
Oh Ny3bro it seems you are now tired of defending the government as things are going wrong day in day out. Look sometimes feign sickness and refuse to attend media encounters to save your face as it seems more is coming. Don't take all the heat. Mt candid advice.
