John Jinapor, a former Deputy Minister of Energy under the John Mahama administration has congratulated the Justice Emile Short Commission for a good work done.
The Short Commission was set up to look into the violence that occurred during the by-elections held in Ayawaso West Wuogon.
The Commission which was made up of three members: Justice Emile Short (Chairman), Professor Henrietta Mensah-Bonsu and Mr. Patrick K. Acheampong as members were given one month to submit its report to President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to proceedings that took place at the Commission, he says work done so far has been impressive.
“I will give them thumbs up . . . so far what has gone on, fairly it’s not bad,” he said.
Proposed Recommendation
As far as recommendation is concerned, John Jinapor who is also the Member of Parliament for Yapei/Kusawgu in the Northern Region, hoped that the Commission will recommend for the disbandment of the operatives who were dressed in black and brown uniforms with some wearing masks.
According to him, they don’t have any place in our National Security.
"The brown and black people should be disbanded . . . they have no place in our National Security. Then if we want a SWAT group, they should be made up of the police . . . we don’t need this amorphous group,” he said during a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo'.
The Commission should also recommend that our “security be strengthened and granted independence because the police administration is not firmly independent”.
Apart from that “they should make the report available for us to read to make an informed decision”.

when did these ndc foooools recognize the emil short commission, ndc and hypocracy chaii
Political criminal hooliganism started in Ghana when CDR criminals were recruited to form the National Security Agency and later on some of them were shipped to Cuba and returned home to form the 64th Battalion under the leadership of Lt. Col. Gbevlo Lartey and the armour car looter Jack Bilbi during J. J. Rawlings regime. The 64th Battalion was disbanded under JAK; some were forced to resigned for security reasons and others were absolved in the regular Army. Them come the Azorka Boys disguised as private security agents to protect NDC top members and later on weaponized and metamorphosised as criminal political hooligans to terrorize NPP members. The Invincible and Delta Force recently came into the picture to counter the Azorka Boys after the Agbogbloshie butchering. The genesis of political violent hooliganism started with NDC and infected NPP. Lets get together and get rid of this cancer started by NDC once and for all.
I agree with you 100% on your recommendations though a little bit too late. You should had made these recommendations to your party when you were in power. What advice did you give when you heard the them Interior Minister Mark Wayongo saying VIOLENT BEGOT VIOLENCE when he could had interceded during the Talensi terrorism by NDC criminal hooligans, the Azorka Boys? Where were you when NPP supporters were butchered and terrorized in Amenfi West, Akwatia, Atiwa, Kumawu, Bawku, Tamale, Cheripone, Talensi, Odododiodio, Agbogbloshie, Asutifi and Asunafo? The victims were NPP supporters so, it was okay for them to suffer, right? Now, it happened to your supporters in AWW, suddenly, you're crying foul and have solutions. I'm glad you're joining the band wagon now, thus good. Now both sides have tasted political violence and now realized that no party has monopoly over violence, let the peace process begins. At least there is a regime in place who's making an attempt to solve the political circle of violence. You've good recommendations and I'll encourage you to make them available to the Committee.
thumbs up not thumps up
I think the NDC must learn to stop their usual prejudice in everything.
