Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday, February 14, 2019 joined Rev. Father Andrew Campbell of Christ The King Parish to feed some underprivileged children and adults on the street at Fatima Garden, Accra.
The gesture by the Vice President was part of an initiative by Father Andrew Campbell dubbed "CTK Soup Kitchen" to feed and support the less privileged in society, particularly street children.
The Vice President, in January this year, also joined Father Campbell to commemorate the 2019 World Leprosy day at the Weija Leprosarium in Accra.
Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", James Kwabena Bomfeh also called Kabila, who is the Acting General Secretary of the Convention People's Party (CPP), commended Dr. Bawumia for showing love and support to the underprivileged in society.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia has set a good example and urged him to continue to support the needy.
“It was towards inclusion, celebrating our diversity because there are a lot of things that a person go through which is part of the human condition…For someone to take the step to cushion people who have been disadvantaged and are in a condition they don’t like, he must be applauded,” he said.
