Former President John Dramani Mahama has hinted at embarking on a visit to the 275 constituencies across the nation.
He is expected to meet winners and losers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regional executive elections.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, the aspiring flagbearer of the NDC said he has already spoken with the 10 chairmen elected on Saturday.
“I have also called and expressed my personal message of encouragement to many of the candidates who were not successful in the elections,” he wrote.
He expressed the view that there are no losers in the elections as “our great party, the NDC, is the winner”.
He advised the newly elected executives across the regions to reach out to all and sundry and bring them on board “for victory in election 2020”.
“The real work has just begun and we must all put our shoulders to the wheel going forward,” Mr Mahama stated.
“I look forward to meeting you all when I begin visiting the constituencies and regions in the coming weeks.”
Mr Mahama’s intended visit is to whip up support as he has declared intention to contest again for leadership of the party in the 2020 elections.
He had been the party’s leader in the past two major elections – in 2012 and 2016.
Though he did not have any contenders in 2012 and 2015 within the NDC, at least 10 persons including some appointees of his government have declared intention to contest the primary scheduled for December 7, 2018.

Please come distribute money make we chop...its our money by the way. This is how God works, all the money he took from us will come back into the system indirectly. He will spend all doing campaign and loose again. I hope he gets 20% so he can accept the true meaning of life, right now he is still dreaming.
AFTER THE SO CALLED,CLANDESTINE AND WORTH+ESS KEEP FIT, NOW NATIONWIDE TOUR. BY THE WAY WHO CARES? THIS IS NOT NEWS WORTHY. IF INCOMPETENT IS TOURING THE NATION THE ONLY CONCERN IS THAT HE SHOULD NOT INFEST THE COUNTRY WITH INCOMPETENCE AND CORRUPTION. PERIOD. ONAAPO.
But who cares??? Every corrupt and incompetent aspirant can go on tour but the difference is that lame horse ndc can NEVER stand the test of time in 2020 election. With john the ded goat NPP will increase its parliamentary seats and garner more votes for the incorruptible saviour, Nehemiah Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo. NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU
You see, Nana is a first class politician who has clearly defined his policy and thoughtfully coined a powerful slogan, 'Ghana beyond Aid' to embody and reflect his vision. Which seems to be appealing to most of the World powerful leaders and finding a positive response. I was emotionally touched when I heard OYE, Nana's favorite song being played for him, to welcome him to China. A friendly gesture, indeed. I am not saying this to scare away NDC from the 2020 elections, but to contest the caliber of Nana and his NPP to date, you really have to tighten your belt in terms of policy message and political expediency. Propaganda, populism and lose polemics can never be a match for Nana, the President, and his NPP. And I strongly warn NDC to discard playing the tribal card of bigotry. That would clearly be counterproductive and NDC would suffer bitterly for it. For, the Ghanaians have grown out of the status quo-politics of deceit, boys with sharp teeth mantra and repetitions of lies for ostensible truth. And I bet, 20% execution of NPP promises and manifesto would put her out of reach for NDC in terms of its multiple effects, competence, credibility and fulfilling the aspirations of many Ghanaians. The dynamics of World Politics today, put good Leadership in African Politics at advantage to boost and own wise investments in Africa. So far I see some hope in Goosie Tanoh for the NDC at least to bring NDC, to break away from Legon campus type of politics. Goosie seems determined to start from grassroots work, to transform NDC into real, practical, policy and issue-based politics relevant to solving the economic and social problems facing Ghana and Africa to date.
HAHAHAHAHA VERY FUNNY.EIII MAHAMA POWER DEY SWEET YOU!!! LOOK 2% SEF YOU NO GO GET.
