Suspended national vice chairman of the ruling New Patriotic (NPP), says the cost of the digital address system operated by GhanaPostGPS should have cost the tax payer a quarter of what government spent implementing it.
According to Sammy Crabbe, he is personally engaged in the digital business and it is something one of his companies does everyday in foreign countries.
Crabbe, an international businessman was speaking in an exclusive interview with host of Starr FM’s Starr Chat, Bola Ray.
According to the suspended party vice chairman, his analysis of the whole I.T facility his conclusion is that “government of the New Patriotic Party regime could have implemented the system without pumping as much as $2.5 million of the taxpayers’ money.”
He argues, “I could easily implement that project with a quarter of the amount of money they spent…I don’t want to go into details, but things must be done in order.”

This is what the Fantes will term it as SKIN PAIN. The man is just bitter. Please go back to the courts and appeal. They ruled in FAVOUR of NPP and you accepted the verdict, why this plentttyyyyy talk?
He does it cheaper for other countries ... but not his motherland... this empty barrel must be stripped of his citizenship so he can go become a national of those countries ! ***barred word*** man!. Wasting our ears
Don't worry we are okay with Bawumia's choice.
Commot for der! See your big nose, like Allotey Jacobs.
This same guy milked the revamped Ghana airways dry. If you say you can do something for less, have you done it? This guy is just bitter
Granted that Sammy is right, this was opened for tender, why did he not turn in his tender bid for that said low amount. More so, the company that won the bid had the lowest bid . Is he saying that all the other companies that presented bids were also inflated?, may be. Well , as far as he did not bid and the government chose the lowest bid at the time of closing the bid and inviting the bidders to make presentations, the processes followed laid down procedures and it has passed the legal test. There is nothing that can be done at this point. We have passed that stage of someone coming to say it could have cost less when they did not present a bid for that contract when tender was open to the public.
Massa why are you people trying to kill local IT business. Many companies are shamelessly paying very huge amount for some IT projects from India and other foreign countries that have very huge maintenance cost. However those same IT projects with same quality produced here are deemed very expensive even if they are half the amounts of the foreign ones. I know some software projects that are sponsored by foreign organisations that are going for huge amounts but no foul cry is mentioned here. Talk is cheap. Software development is becoming expensive. We also have to understand that some software make their money from support and not the initial amount. All these must be factored in. Also note that the same company could have sold the app on the market instead of being paid by the government. They would have made much more.
How did he manage Ghana International Airlines? He should answer that first
This man has no shame
You talk like someone who is on natures call. If you have regretted your actions do not give the party a bad name. Let me assure you, you will not even get a contract to supply a fly. Give us a break.
