The Deputy General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho has said resource persons to train participants at the Ghana Institute for Social Democracy will be rendering free services.
The Ghana Institute for Social Democracy launched in Accra on Thursday, 10 August 2017, is the NDC’s training school.
The party’s National Chairman, Kofi Portuphy, is hopeful that the school will help ground socialist politicians and help the party to return to winning ways in the 2020 polls.
“As a social democratic party, we have had a lot of setbacks in terms of the ideas that we propagate and ideals that we signed for. I recall with some nostalgia the early days in the revolution and the schools that we created and what it helped the revolution to achieve. We will all be glad when we return to power in 2020 to see that this time, we will not have contradiction in our endeavours in the last four years,” he said.
Speaking in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM on Friday August 11, 2017, Mr Anyidoho said: “For now most of the people (Lecturers) are our people - Professor Kwamena Ahwoi, Professor Kwaku Danso Boafo, Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte, Professor Joshua Alarbi and for now, they’re doing a pro bono for us.”
He further stated that the school is opened to all Ghanaians irrespective of their political affiliations although members of the NDC will be first to be considered.

Their curriculum will include how to create, loot and share. Social democracy, an archaic philosophy. Why dont they teach how to create jobs and start ups. This school is ***barred word*** and must be denied accreditation. When these so called politicians lose elections that is when they try to think about social issues. What a mess.
Review your curriculum to include Nature or what Corruption is, causes of corruption and how to prevent them, cases studies on corruption in Ghana and Africa and how they were busted. Need to consider including Ethical Education, Pragmatic Philosophy( which we need badly) and Logic; the science of good reasoning.
Which lectures will offer those "free services"? Only those who benefited from the NDC loot may assist. The NDC started this school with the hope of retaining power and stealing our moneys to run the school. I can confidently predict that this so called school is dead on arrival. They CANNOT find the money to run it. The NDC foot soldiers can't find money to pay fees to attend either. IT IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL.....mark my words!
LOOK AT THE PERSON SOEAKING. KOOKU ANYIDOHO. THIS CLEARLY TELLS US THAT NDC IS DEAD. EVEN HIS FACE LIKE A ZEE IN THE FOREST TRYING TO DEVOUR A PRAY. WHAT GOOD THING THAT CAN COME OUT OF KOKU? THE STUDENT ARE GOING TO BE TOUGHT ONLY INSULTS THERE. NOTHING BUT INSULTS. WHY IS NDC ALWAYS TELLING GHANIANS OF WINNING THE 2020 ELECTIONS? WHAT HAVE THEY SEEN FOR THE PAST SEVEN MONTHS. THE GHANAIANS WHO VOTED NANA ADDO INTO PIWER ARE STILL THERE. THEY HAVE NOT GONE TO LIBERIA. THE OVER ONE MILLION VOTES ARE STILL THERE. NOW THAT THE ELECTORAL COMM. CAN NOT MANIPULATE THE SYSTERM IT WILL BE EXTREMINLY DIFFICULT FOR NDC TO BRAG.
dead professors nkoaaa. apuuuuuuuuu
ever since i started following politics in Ghana, i have never seen any better thing come out of the NDC. the lack ideas but are very good with insulting the elderly in the society. look at valerie sawyer??? this school is dead on arrival.
It is just too late for NDC to realize that they lack the intellect and competence to administer the affairs of a Country. They will remain in Opposition for ever and the Party NDC has almost collapsed.
