In his first state of the nation address, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Parliament to undertake legislative policy institution reform to allow Ghanaian entrepreneurship to rise and fly domestically and internationally.
According to the President, the country is now faced with the phenomenon of parents looking on in frustration as their children remain at home without the means to strike the independence life by themselves.
“Too many young people and unemployment is the sadden reality of the start of their adult lives,” he reiterated.
He however urged Parliament to help in creating the atmosphere to generate jobs by boosting the confidence in the private sector to invest in the economy.
“We must have the courage to start building our future and take the hard decision that needs to be taken to grow our economy. We have no choice but to reduce the budget deficit and cut waste in all the sectors of the public life,” President Akufo-Addo urged.
