These salaries fly in the face of all the difficulties Ghanaians are going through. Minimum Salary for a Politician is 14,000+? It pays better to be a politician than go through school and find a white collar job which is non existent
Africans are just suffering for their politicians to enjoy. None of these politicians who claim they are coming to help us are just deceiving us. Never die for a politician. NPP and NDC are all KRIMINALS
The politicians claim people are suffering and they are coming to help them out, yet before they assume office their salaries and ex gratia is already determined and they would not reject it. Can you imagine, these politicians saying for Mahama to increase workers pay by 12.5 percent he was trying to sabotage the incoming administration. This is the time for them to say that the huge sums of pay they are going to receive would cripple the economy so they reject it. I dare them to reject it, so we can see they really have Ghanaians at heart. MPS just determined their ex gratia, that's was not a sabotage, but when a government which tenure of office has not ended decide to cushion workers that's wrong. God will judge everyone. I hope Npp will issue a statement that this will cripple the economy so they reject it.
If you don't agree go and burn the sea. Even a sleeper is going to enjoy 5000 dollars a month.
Why should Ex-president be allowed to use presidential jet? there is a reason why he is an ex-president, also isn't it a security breach for someone other than the president/ Vice to have access to the presidential jet?
On condition that the ***barred word*** returns all his loots, back to the state.
To use which presidential jet. Kai Mahama be greedy paaa. We will not let him use it. Simple
Unjust system. Ghana is running an unjust system. Why is it that when it comes to politicians and top government officials our planners take time to factor in all the necessary amenities into their salaries. But when it comes to civil servants they just quote any figure without considering whether the salary will be enough for school fees, rent, transport, food etc. Ghana is certainly moving on the wrong path and we need to apply breaks somewhere!
Presidents deserve that. I believe much thought was involved in arriving at those amounts and emoluments taking cognisance of a retiring president's station in life. This brings me to ask the question; why do some of them try to gobble state resources not only with both hands, but also with borrowed hands of family members and cronies? WHY? Don't they by know by such acts, do so much to overreach their authority and providing for their needs to the extent of denying the broad masses of our people, even their marginal basic needs. That is as inhuman as it is insane. In the course of our lives, let us endeavour to live in such a way as to give the average man an elbow room for the exercise of his personality. It is by such living that society builds a classless community and prospers to lay a solid foundation for its posterity. God bless us all!
