Several people have described as bad faith recent activities of the outgoing administration led by President John Dramani Mahama.
The incoming Akufo-Addo government has condemned the last minute appointments of people to key state institutions as well as the signing of contracts by the outgoing government.
President Mahama who leaves office on January 7, on Tuesday appointed Joseph Whittal and Josephine Nkrumah as chairpersons of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) and National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) respectively.
Apart from that, increase in allowance of National Service personnel and signing of various contracts are set to take effect from next year among others.
Reacting to this on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, the Managing Editor of the Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako said he sees nothing wrong with what the outgoing government is doing.
According to him, he saw nothing wrong when it occurred under the then Kufuor’s administration and he sees nothing wrong now.
“What’s the big deal…I don’t get the noise…if the contracts are not signed according to law, it will not hold. What is happening is neither illegal nor unconstitutional. If they did not go according to law, the new government has the mandate to review and withdraw…nothing stops the government from entering into contract so far as it is lawful”

Kweku, you are one of the very few people in Ghana I trust. You are very objective on most issues. You've gotten this one totally wrong. If you do not see anything wrong with these last minute appointments and awards of contracts, then I don't know what has come over you. It's clear that the NDC government is setting up the NPP government to fail. The decisions they've taken will have adverse effect on the NPP government and you are saying you don't see anything wrong with that? Why did they wait till this time before rolling such important policies - from pay increase to the award of contracts running in the millions of dollars!! Kwaku, you've disappointed me on this one. Amidu has beaten you on this.
i know my boss Kwaku Baako never disappoints and i dont think he wants to start now. though i disagree with him i still believe he has something cooking up in his head. these recent appointments and contracts will do the ndc more harm done good i can assure them.
well educated people will understand that what kwaku Baaku is saying is right and also the eye of the law dosen't look at common sense here it is stuuup1d to think of common sense in law. the law goes beyond common sense and that is what they say "the law is an ***barred word***". the less educated and dump people will see kwaku Baaku to be wrong and these aer the criminals that Nana Addo will soon disappoint

Oh my brother kwaku, this one 'dee' you have failed. Please come again. Pls do not behave as MASTER OH; i hope u know of the one am talking of. bye
Ei, NDC be careful, Kwaku is sophiscated. If you go on fooooooling, the law will catch up with you. Doing things wrongly & unlawfully will send you to jail. Hmmmmmmmm......It is only the wise who will understand.
Kweku, I am sure you find yourself in a dilemma having supported a previous outgoing government do something similar. You were wrong then and you are wrong now. You don't have to be consistently wrong. A wise man changes his views when presented with new evidence. You should be wiser now than you were 12 years ago!!
And NDC touted themselves for "implementing SSS" . Dust up your memory.
baako, don't be siillly! This is a practice that has to be stopped! These appointments should have been done before the elections that booted out the government. Any outgoing government has no right to tie the hands of the incoming government in this way. Why didn't Mahama appoint these people before now when he is on his way out. Nana is coming with his own team of people and Mahama must exit without creating such stuuuuupiddd drama. All such appointments must be quashed and/or reviewed by the new administration. It is as simple as that. what if outgoing govt made hundreds of such appointments at the last minute? will it not be chaos?
Frankly; For me ; I smell a RAT HERE !!!!!!;it is either Kweku Baako has started making mistake or else Kweku Baako is playing this clever equalistion trip to abortoirs at Tema to finally slauther the NDC but then sing their praises going to golgatha; THIS IS JOKE KOFI BAAKO PAA !!!!!!!; the man knows what is going is WRONG !!!!!! in governance but this old political slaughter master is hoping to receive a last minute V8 from Jon Mahama for saying something nice before the depature of Jon Mahama and the NDC in january ;I tell you NEVER TRUST KWEKU BAAKO ; always read between the lines or the small print ; afterall Akua Donker received two V8s ; Buture received one ; Ben Ephson received one and REV Ashante of the peace Council received one so why not Kweku Baako ; TRUST ME !!!!!!!: Ghanaians ain't seen the last of 'NOKOFIO 'until Kweku Baako get s V8 from Jon Mahama and the NDC .
