Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly called Sir John has called on the Police Service to step up their game in enforcing law and order in this electioneering year.
According to Sir John, the Police should not wait till the Election Day before clamping down on perpetrators of violence in the country.
Sir John raised red flag over the public conduct of Hon. Collins Dauda's brother, Naaba Abdulai who was heard on radio pontificating about how he "kills" people every day.
He wondered why Naaba Abdulai has not been arrested or invited by the Police administration to render an account on his claims.
He further opined that the Police seem to be biased in administering their duties as he cited the arrest of NPP's Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong and Omari Wade also of the NPP.
Sir John expressed disappointment in the Police administration for acting swiftly on the two NPP faithfuls but being inactive in arresting Hon. Collins Dauda's brother.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', he advised the Police not to show partiality in executing their duties.
“If you’ll be wild, let it start from today to get rid of bullying . . . They should honour their words. They should let their words correspond with their actions," he stressed.
