The vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed sadness over the sudden death of his press aide Kwabena Boadu in the line of duty.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in a post on his facebook page said he was 'devastated' over the news.
"Yesterday was one of the saddest days of my life. I lost my younger brother, friend and colleague, Kwabena Boadu, in Wa under circumstances I cannot still understand. Kwabena was simply brilliant, diligent, loyal, and honest. I was most fortunate to have met him. He was matured beyond his years and was a trusted confidant. I am devastated. It is just unbelievable. May his soul rest in perfect peace" he wrote.
Kwabena Boadu, a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon, was found lifeless in his hotel room in Wa on Thursday. According to sources, he was electrocuted.
Meanwhile, his remains have been handed over to family members in Accra.

This is a ritual murder. NPP sacrificed the young man for ritual purposes.
NPP will remain in opposition for a very long long time.
Just another of his usual lies. You killed him for rituals. His spirit will haunt you liars forever and ever.
There she goes again, someone is dead and she is teaching economics on this platform. These Npp folks never respect the dead. Show some condolences to the family and stop this gdp nun sense. Is your economic lectures going to bring this guy back. Npp folks think they know everything in this world. Your no one should do politics with the dead of Boadu, but you are here doing politics which your economics nun sense. Hypocrisy of a highest order.
IS ALWAYS SAD TO HEAR PEOPLE TALKING AS IF THEY DON,T HAVE HEAD. NPP AND DR. BAWUMIA ARE NOT VAMPIRES LIKE YOU PEOPLE .YOUR PARTY IS IN POWER SO HURRY UP WITH YOUR INVESTIGATION BECAUSE NPP WILL SURELY INVESTIGATE WHO REALLY KILLED J. E. A. MILLS.
Yet another killing just because of Power ???
This generation has nothing positive to bequeath to the next. They have lost almost everything. Ei! Death too, there is no sympathy? Hmmn.
Now is devastating, after killing your aide is now devastating. nosense
I did not know that someone can die a natural death in Ghana if am to go by NPP's evil Ideology. If Atta mills was killed. then Bawumia killed this fante boy period for rituals. Now you guys are in pains. killers
It's sad times for Ghana and I weep with so much bitterness in my heart for the future of our country's youth.Go out to Ho town and see the open wanton and dissipation of the taxpayer's money. The opulence with which NDC is using state resources, all in the name of campaign just to cling on to power by crook or hook. A country with a negative GDP growth, above 34% interest rates, more than 200bilion debt, exchange rate of 4 cedis to a dollar, unbearable economic hardship, a country who has decended to the lowest economic ebb that we can't even buy food and detergents for our brothers and sisters in the psychiatric wards....OMG!! Yet 80,000 cedis has been paid to more than 20 local radio stations to do propaganda for two hours every morning for NDC government. Prime time TV programs are all paid for and hijacked. Even DW TV is a 24 hour NDC channel too. I weep for my nation because whether NDC win power or not my children will be the ones to be burdened with all this wanton waste. Yes,Ghana will grind to a halt again after the election for the next 3 years. The youth of this country who are being used as tools to undertake this activities and are playing loud music, drinking driving in town like there is no tomorrow all in the name of campaign should know that they or their children will pay for this. In Ghana today most people have lost their conscience for pittance they will get today. I weep because the youth can not see far and have availed themselves to be used by the politician who probably have amassed enough for themselves already. Our youth can not think beyond what they are benefiting today. But there is God! ....and He will hear the cries of the silent and the down trodden. He will choose for us a leader.
