The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expelled 23 disgruntled members who decided to contest the 2016 elections as independent parliamentary candidates.
A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the party took the decision because the candidates breached the party’s constitution with their actions.
Thus the NDC in a statement said, “the General Secretary acting on behalf of NEC wishes to inform the general public and especially all such persons that they are in breach of articles 8( d,f); 45( a,b,c &e) and 46(10) of the party’s constitution. The affected persons by their conduct and on their own volition have ceased to be members of the party,” the statement added.
The party further ordered the affected persons to desist from using party paraphernalia and also return any party property in their possession.

John mahama very divisive, you have destroyed a united party like NDC. a JJ Rawlings party, this is how far you mahama has brought this great party to, after you succeeded in killing John Evans Atta Mills. john mahama has destroyed our great party not in the history of NDC expelling 23 people.
Dis action by the NDC is hypocritical, cos they shud hv told Ghanaians about the complaints brought before it during n after the primaries n what action did they take. The result after petitioning n letting us meet a so called reconciliation cite, nothing was heard officially from them. This is the result dat hv infuriated most of us asking ur candidates to go independent. The party must learn to respect members n react to problems dat are brought before it. Led see what happens in the elections n they shud remember we didn't write an exam to join the party.
This is not good for NDC. These disgruntled parliamentary candidates are likely to split NDC votes and cause its defeat. What makes the case serious is that most of them are from Volta Region. NDC is indeed heading for defeat!!!!

Aha, I thought u said expulsion is the preserve of the NPP. NDC touted all the time they have party cohesion. What has become of it? If you do propaganda with party unity, the reality will expose you. Tweaaa, some party unity! Nana beba.
It's " can't " not " can " you should be saying .... You too you can't even read English !!!! 😜😜😜😜😜
I don't know whether this error is coming from peacefmonline.com or your source."Emmanuel Jalulah : Karachi West, Volta Region" The name is Krachi West and not Karachi.karachi is in Pakistan. Lazy journalism, you can even read about your country!!
Mr. John Mahama the unifier. This is unprecedented in the ndc. U leave this and talk about disunity in Npp. Hypocrisy.
Now you agree with the NPP that it is worth sacking disloyal members from a party? I do not understand why you ndc behave in such manner by branding the NPP as a divisive entity.NPP sanctioned about 3 or 4 persons and you co-ru-pt ndc made a case out of it.Now you are EXPELLING 23 people from you party. Those people you are sacking and many more have realised you co.ru-pt attitude and they coming to us.
