The Presidential debates are here with us again.
The organizers, Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Friday, October 28, 2016 announced that the debates will commence in November.
The First among the three debates, according to the public policy institute, will take place at the Radash Hotel in Tamale on November 8, 2016 and shall be followed with a Vice-Presidential debate on November 15, 2016 at the Best Western Hotel in Takoradi.
The Second Presidential debate will take place in Accra on November 22, 2016.
Executive Director of the IEA, Jean Mensah in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM said none of the candidates have declined to participate in the debates.
That means, if everything goes on as planned, President John Mahama who is also the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will battle it out with the presidential candidates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwasi Nduom and independent candidate, Jacob Osei Yeboah.

simply needless
Those who intend buying land in Accra especially in Amasaman should be weary of a company called DEGAHTSI Company Limited. This fraudulent organization is owned by one Mr. DEKU who claims to be a supervisor with the GES. Please be advised.
NANA HAS BETTER THINGS TO DO' HE WILL NEVER NEVER AND NEVER PARTICIPATE IN THIS DEBATE.
It is too late now, try the next four years.
I think the NDC has got another Naana Opoku-Agyeman in the IEA to spoon-feed them like what happened in 2012. That is why they are desperately pushing for this debate. Mahama will come with prepared answers and the other candidates would be intimidated to make them look bad in the eyes of the people. My candid opinion is that the NPP is the target of this strategy. NPP tread cautiously, so as not to lose the momentum you have gained so far.
NPP, PLEASE DO NOT PARTICIPATE, DO NOT LET NDC DECIDE WHEN TO HAVE DEBATE.
NDC said they would only participate if all presidential candidates are included. IEA wanted NPP and NDC debate but the NDC said if that is the case then it would not participate.
Hahaha NDC paa this guys has no shame, finally they have decided to participate. NDC is looking for credibility................
like seriously? ndc wants to be part of this IEA debate? i think the IEA should tell us what they said to them be4 adding them to the debate. the last time I checked it was the ndc that said they were not going to be part bcos the IEA was not credible by their low standards.it is just shameful to the ndc. its very hard to see power slipping through ur fingers and u cant do anything about it. they are just looking for a platform to attack nana addo and bawumia but i can tell u they are not interested in the debate. they should tell us why they have decided to be part of the debate now but i suspect foul play. they will still loose no matter what. change is coming
NDC now wants to be part of the IEA debates? Let IEA tells the Nation what NDC did prior to the come back to be part of this debate, was it by apology, letter of repentance, retraction of the derogatory of the institution, etc? The leadership of the NDC n current government clearly either has loss their sense of judgement or are taking the people for granted, thinking we are '***barred word***'. Perhaps, they are. NDC for me is NOT a trustworthy party at this point in the life of the nation. Virtually, everything they have said has more than a meaning; Prez said infrastructure works by government shd not be used as a campaign message bcos is exercise in mediocre, he will not restore Train teachers/nurses allowance even if loosing the election so be it, SHS cannot be free yet he claims he is doing it. WHO IS DISTURBING THE NATION?
