We take note of the decision by the Electoral Commission to reject the nomination of 12 persons for the 2016 presidential election.
In as much as we agree that the right things be done in the management of our elections, we express our sympathies with the candidates whose nominations have been rejected despite their efforts to meet the requirements of the law.
We hope that the legal process, if any, will resolve expeditiously any issues arising from the Electoral Commission’s decision.
The consolidation of Ghanaian democracy requires that principles of justice and fairness govern all aspects of our electoral process.

MIKE OQUAYE JUST HIT THE HEAD OF THE NAIL AND STOP TALKING NONE SE NSE. TELL THEM TO COME AND JOIN YOUR PARTY. YOU JUST WANT TO BEAT ABOUT THE ***barred word*** BUT THAT'S THE MAIN REASON OF THIS YOUR LONG TALK. AAAH
If a particular party could not fulfill legal requirements is it the fault of the NDC??? Because of people like you that's why we in the NPP are ranked as #1 as far as intolerance for divergent views are concerned... Id100t...
I agree with the position of the NPP.After all I believe this shenanigan action of EC was done in conivance with the NDC.Oh God have mercy on us. #PPPgoToCourt
Your followers asking when you will be I u k for medico and fun raising?
If these presidential aspirants can't be diligent in the 'little matter' of filing their nominations, they have no business ruling this nation.
You were trying to exhibit acme of discipline and adherence to righteousness but you couldn't understand some of the basic principles of life: justice, honesty and love. No one is saying that the EC should not be encouraged to do the right thing. But you should know that a'right thing' has some inherent elements that qualifies it - particularly timing and how it is done. do you think if the EC has furnished the parties with the Exclusion List, as they termed it, any sound man would defend say the NDP? How did the EC want the NDP to know that the person was on the list when they don't have access to the list? Again, how can you make a law governing paper works to be so rigid that 99.9% adherence or conformity is not acceptable? So all some of us are saying is that make the laws, ensure they are obeyed but with some leverage to cater for fallibility of humans to which they are applied. Even in the EC's own dealings most decisions have factually incorrect presentations as evident in the 2012 supreme court petition. When they acknowledge them and sought for overlook the judges accepted, taken into consideration the volume of work the EC did for the elections. They could have rigidly applied the law and nullified the elections and possibly jailed some EC staff. So, please, let us not see ourselves as ***barred word*** and lawless people. Lets applies the laws but fairly, after all laws were made for men not men for the laws!
this is matured talk by the npp and not asiedu nketiahs that he would have wished nana addo was also disqualified. absolutely sennselesss talk
The EC was pardoned when some of the presiding officers failed to sign the pink sheets. Now any anomaly in the voting process and documentation should be rejected. She has paved the way for parties to reject results. This is what will bring troubles especially when a particular party has an advantage over another at that polling station
For as long as I live I can never ever fathom out the type of brains in the heads of certain Africans. They seem to cherish and encourage wrong doing and at the same time the same persons want their lives to improve. These are the same type of persons that consistently loose their visa application fees due to fraudulent application and then turn around to blame western countries. Virtually all the institutions in Ghana are in a mess because the rules and regulations that you are supposed to abide by are consistently abused and circumvented by criminals and you rather applaud such persons and encourage such dastardly acts and meanwhile you claim to want progress to the level of the developed countries of the world. DO YOU THINK THAT THEY WOULD HAVE GOT TO WHERE THEY ARE BY FOLLOWING THE DESTRUCTIVE PATH THAT YOU HAVE CHOSEN? For once you have a civil servant who have decided to carry out her duties as prescribed by the laws of the land to bring some degree of sanity to your voting system. Instead of being applauded for it and requesting that other institutions follow in her footsteps, here you are coming out with rather pathetic line of reasoning trying to justify fraudulent acts.
Those who have genuine concerns should head to court because you cannot say some one has registered twice and has endorse a candidate so the candidate is disqualified. Why haven't the EC deleted those who have registered twice? Again who does the EC disqualifies someone when one voter endorses two candidates? For example if i wanted to get President Mahama disqualified a could have endorsed him and another candidate at the same time. Let those whose documents have those minor issues get corrected and accepted.
