The 45-year-old youth organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Oyarifa, who challenged president Mahama during the party’s presidential primaries, is now running mate for an independent candidate.
George Boateng has accepted to be the running mate of Lawrence Jamial Kutin who is seeking to contest the 2016 general elections as an independent presidential candidate
The 41-year-old Electrician who hails from the Volta region recently picked forms to contest in the 2016 election.
Kutin who is also an NDC member too says he is contesting because the NDC government lead by President John Dramani Mahama is failed woefully.
Mr. Jamial Kutin is promising the end the power crisis known in local parlance as dumsor which he says the Mahama-led government has failed to solve.
Based on this vision, George Boateng said he is more than prepared to help boot out President Mahama out of power.
Citing the unbridled corruption and untoward hardship on Ghanaians, he maintained that, “we will be signing our death warrant if the NDC is retained in power”.

Ghana is indeed a sick but free country. A country where electricians cocaine sniffers and weed smokers are permitted to lead is a free country indeed but seriously sick. Comedian are endorsing candidates, jokers like ekua donkor are running form presidential election, this simply suggest that Ghana need serious spiritual bath. I am not saying these individuals are not human beings but come on, what can these do to help our nation.
THAT`S WONDERFUL NEWS, IF THE CONSTITUTION STIPULATES THAT YOU MUST BE ABOVE 45 AND OF SOUND MIND, GOOD HEALTH AND ALSO MUST BE BORN OF GHANAIAN PARENTAGE OR BEFORE INDEPENDENCE OR BOTH. WHY NOT? HE MUST EXERCISE HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. BUT DOES THE ABOVE QUALIFIES THIS GUY? FOR STARTERS HE ABANDONED HIS PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION TO PLAY APLANKE FOR ANOTHER HOPEFUL. SUCH MISCREANTS ARE ONLY TOLERATED BY YAA NOM. THATS WHY WE BOOTED HIM OUT.
Why are we complaining now? If, as a nation, we have sat idly by and allowed the likes of Akua Donkor to inflict her Presidential ambitions on us for the past 4 years, why shouldn't any other person join into the fray? Seeing how cheap the presidency has become?
I think that some are just playing mischief. The political field is over crowded now, what a waste of resources and energy!
Very soon we are going to have 28million people contesting this year's election. Everybody want to be the president
