NDC’s Presidential Aspirant, George Boateng, has predicted that the ruling party will taste opposition if its members fail to vote for him in the party’s November 7 presidential primary.
Not just tasting opposition – George was emphatic that the NDC will collapse totally beyond repair.
“If I lose in the primaries, then it means the NDC would sink further into the abyss and we would lose 2016…and if we lose 2016, that is our end, no one can redeem the party again…maybe President Rawlings would have to come back to redeem the party,” he said on Accra based Adom FM.
The 45-year-old presidential aspirant maintained that he is the “saviour” of the NDC from what he describes as President John Dramni Mahama’s shambolic governance.
According him - “I am getting more than 100% in the primaries, the President would not even get a single vote...not even from his wife and children because they are not NDC card bearing members, they are only enjoying because their husband and father is President…,” he said confidently.
Mr. George Boateng picked nomination form to contest the NDC leadership slot after the party opened nominations.
According to him, the support the President enjoys in the party has waned largely because of the bad management skills of his administration hence his willingness to help redeem the image of the party.
George Boateng has been described by NDC scribe, Johnson Asiedu Nketia as ‘someone who is in need of psychiatric check up’ and as an ‘attention seeker’ by Allotey Jacobs for daring to challenge the President.
And these opinions were supported by National Communications Director of the party, Solomon Nkansah who claimed he was very convinced the freight forwarder was in need of mental attention.
But George Boateng responding to the claims, said he was quite convinced those persons need to be cleared from the party to pave way for more sane persons to run the affairs of the party.
