The Minority leader in Parliament, Hon. Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu has denied ever being in any emergency meeting to indict NPP’s National Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong.
NPP's flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Minority Leader, Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu; MP for Tema West, Irene Naa Torshie; Ablekuma West MP, Ursula Owusu; MP for Kwadaso, Dr. Akoto Afriyie and National Organiser, John Boadu were believed to have met at Nana Addo’s Nima residence to plan on impeaching Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong.
But the NPP lawmaker in an interview with Adom FM stated categorically that such meeting was not held as reported in the media.
He described the information as fabricated after calling for peace in the party.
“I was not at Nana Addo’s residence as reported,” he said.
The National Chairman and Gen Secretary have been accused by some members of the NPP of causing the party’s internal wrangling which led to the untimely death of Adams Mahama, the Upper East regional chairman.
