It has now emerged that contrary to earlier reports that the legal tussle between Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako and Ibrahim Mahama, has brought the former down to his knees is unambiguously untrue.
The Herald Newspaper was first to publish that "the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, is limping around the case brought against him by businessman, Ibrahim Mahama, whom he had called a thief." Below is a link to the story

But it however turns out that the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party is battle ready to allow the Kumasi High court determine a case in which the brother of President Mahama claims he called him a thief.
From investigations gathered, counsel for Mr. Antwi-Boasiako, Egbert Faibille Jnr., informed the court of changing his client’s defense in the defamation case filed against him and this attracted a fee of GHC 1,000.
From the defense submitted, Mr. Boasiako (aka Chairman Wontumi), has changed his defense from not calling both President Mahama and Ibrahim Mahama thieves, at a political rally in Obuasi.
