Former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Attefuah-Danso believes one of the partys presidential hopefuls, Francis Addai-Nimo is promising of becoming a President in future.
To him, Addai Nimos shocking performance in the partys Super Delegates Congress clearly shows he is now marketable to lead the NPP.
At the Super Delegates Congress, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo polled 598 votes out of 740 ballots cast, representing 80.78%, with his closest contender, Mr Alan Kyerematen, obtaining 59 votes, representing 7.98%.
Addai Nimo and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joe Ghartey, obtained 22 votes each representing 2.97% of total votes cast.
All four expect Joe Ghartey will contest in the flagbearership race.
Although Addai Nimo has said will contest the partys October 18 National Congress after many have called on him to step down, the former NPP youth leader opined that his (Addai Nimo) attempt is just to make himself marketable for some years to come. I am really proud of him.
But in a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com the NPP presidential hopeful noted that he will lead the party to power in the 2016 general elections when the delegates give him the nod among the remaining four candidates.
However, in an interview with Peacefmonline.com Attefuah-Danso who claims to be a Nana Addo boy said; I wouldnt be surprise if Addai Nimo shocks us. He is one fine gentleman who can be a fine presidentafter Nana Addo I guess.
I know for sure that the honorable man is just nursing his presidential ambition, he added.
