General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah has called on the leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to congratulate all the seven aspirants who contested the party's Super Delegates Congress last Sunday, August 31.
Speaking on Peace FM on "Kokrokoo", Bernard Mornah advised the NPP leadership to visit all the aspirants in honour of their efforts in the just-ended Congress.
Though the party's National Organizers have met some aspirants in the final four who are expected to contest the flagbearership slot in October, the PNC General Secretary however believed the two aspirants; Kofi Konadu Apraku and Asamoah Boateng, popularly called Asabee were sidelined.
He therefore charged the National Organizers to commend "Asabee (Asamoah Boateng), Kofi Konadu Apraku and Joe Ghartey for showing great fortitude; strength in contesting the electionsAll the seven aspirants deserve a visit from the NPP National Organizers team going round whether they were selected for the next phase or were not selected.
He also bemoaned calls for Alan Kyeremateng, Addai-Nimo and Osei Ameyaw to withdraw from the flagbearership contest.
To Bernard Mornah, none of the aspirants should be cajoled to step down because they all have equal opportunity to emerge victor during the party's primaries, come October 18th this year.
