The President of the Catholic Bishops Conference, Rev. Osei Bonsu has asked the President to show more commitment in the fight against corruption in the country.

We are grateful that the President is taking steps to check corruption but more needs to be done, Rev. Osei Bonsu said.

Addressing the press on Tuesday, the President stated that government was taking a bold step to execute justice.

He further revealed that Attorney Generals department has prepared a docket for prosecution and soon we will take action on GYEEDA

But speaking on Eye Witness News, Rev. Osei Bonsu said the President should channel more efforts in the fight against corruption in the country.

He also said the fight against corruption was not only dependent on the President but also on every Ghanaian since corruption was not a problem associated with only politicians but other professions as well.

When we speak about corruption it is not only a problem with politicians, we find it in many series of our lives. Corruption is everywhere, we have the politicians, judiciary, the market place, in the church, everywhere; and so while government is doing its bit, everybody else should also show enthusiasm so that we can fight corruption.
