The New Patriotic Partys (NPP) promise to bring free SHS education to Ghanaians when elected into power, seems to be gaining grounds as Deputy Communication Director of the NPP, Samuel Awuku says it will be achieved by hook or crook.
He said they (NPP) are aware of the consequences if they are not able to fulfill their promise when elected into power and so will do everything possible to be able to accomplish it.
If we are not able to do it by 2016, we cannot come round and campaign; we have put our head on the line; so by the hook or by the crook we are supposed to bring it... We will fulfill the free education to help our children; because the future of our children is at stake Ignorance is more expensive but when there is education, it settles everything he asserted.
However, he said if they are able to fulfill their promise (Free SHS education), the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the other hand, will not be able to campaign in 2016 since they are against that promise.
NDC cannot win election in this county if we are able to initiate our free SHS education policy. People who purport to be socialist and social democrats are standing against education saying it is not possible. It is unheard of to even fight against such social intervention (as social democrats), Awuku added. He was contributing to panel discussions on Peace FMs morning show Kokrokoo with host Kwami Sefa-Kayi.
