The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is learning its lessons in a bitter way after resolving to hold primaries in the 45 re-demarcated constituencies.
According to the chief scribe of the ruling party, the main opposition party will sweat in the newly created constituencies because they opposed the process that led to their formation.
Speaking on Citi FMs Campaign Trail on Sunday, Mr. Nketia stated, the NPP will have an uphill task to convince the people in the 45 constituencies that they care for them because they stood openly and took a position against the creation of those constituencies.
So I do not think that having fought against the creation of those seats as it where, they will be the first to be considered to occupy those seats, he added.
The NPP delayed its primaries following its attempt to prevent the CI 78 which sought to give legal backing to the re-demarcation of the new constituencies from maturing.
