After claiming on air that 80% of parliamentarians smoke marijuana, Abubakar Ahmed also known as Blakk Rasta, was summoned before the august house to apologize for that unfortunate remark.
The above action was a recommendation from the Privileges Committee of Parliament as it presented its reports on the contempt charges levelled against Blakk Rasta and Pharmaco - Vigilance Expert, Prof. Alex Dodoo.
Prof. Alex Dodoo had described the Members of Parliament as ignorant over their comments on an Ebola vaccine trial, which has since been suspended.
The decision to pardon and discharge him was announced on the floor of Parliament on Friday after the speaker of the house, Edward Doe Adjaho accepted the recommendation of the Committee and called on the science professor and other academicians to be circumspect in comments they pass about the House.
