The EC will from today to Wednesday 5th register prospective voters in four electoral areas in the Kasena-Nankana East District in the Upper East Region for the December 7 polls.
The decision follows an order by the Accra Fast Track High Court last Friday for the EC to conduct biometric voters registration in the four electoral areas by December 5, this year or face the wrath of the court.
A statement signed by a Deputy Chairman of the EC, Sarfo Kantanka, said the registration exercise would start at 7am and end at 5pm each day.
It reminded applicants to take with them their passports, driving licences, old voters ID cards and other national identification cards to show as proof of their eligibility.
The statement added that applicants who qualified to register but did not possess any of the identification cards are required to bring two guarantors who are already registered Voters to attest to their qualification to register as voters.
