The President, Prof John Evans Atta Mills has endorsed the Electoral Commission�s decision to go ahead with the Akwatia re-run, involving six polling stations, whether rain or shine.
The Director of Communications at the presidency, Mr. Kwaku Anyidoho who confirmed this to peacefmonline disclosed that the President does not want anything to interrupt tomorrow�s elections.
According to him, no matter what happens, the President wants the elections to be conducted tomorrow to end all the controversies.
The President broke his silence to make the directive following comments made by some party faithfuls including the Eastern regional Minister, Hon. Ofosu Ampofo that the elections should be postponed because of reported violence in the area.
