Dr. Gideon Boako, Economic Advisor and Spokesperson for the Vice President has assured Ghanaians that the power cuts across the nation will soon be over.
He was highly optimistic that the electricity problems confronting the populace will no longer be present by the end of this month.
"The information I have and from where I sit, I know the power cuts are likely to end by the end of this month," he said on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".
The Spokesperson for Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, however lamented the irregular power supply to communities across the nation.
Raising concerns over the electricity providers', primarily the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), refusal to provide electricity users a timetable to guide them in their day-to-day activities, Dr. Boako found it very disturbing how the ECG is treating Ghanaians.
To him, there should be adequate information for the citizenry to avoid destruction of their commodities and waste of money as he bewailed the plight of Ghanaians as a result of the irregular electricity supply.
"Ghanaians need concise, explicit communication," he insisted, adding "we should be able to tell people that this is the problem and by this time, by this date, the problem will be solved".

See these jokers. Initially you lied that this is not dumsor. Again you failed to admit that it was a government related problem but rather the energy providers'. So how come government is now the one giving timeline for when it will be solved? Does this NPP government have any shame? I doubt it, they have scattered everything and what's more annoying is their shift of blames and positions. Bawumia is a genius when things falsely look good, he's only a mate when it's obvious to even the dumbest person that things are really terrible. The way they don't have a firm standing, that's the same way they have been running this country, God please let Dec come quickly.
why are they such liars and then they have the audacity to minimize the issue by comparing it to 2012. Look in 2012, compared to 2024, thanks to Bawumia, everything has moved digital, thus it is an existential crisis when electricity which powers the internet is off. In other words the impact of dumsor now is more than ever very critical due to the digitization agenda by Bawumia. As if that is not enough, Bawumia now wants Ghanaian buses to be charged by electricity when electricity is not even stable, these guys are not serious!!
You are here again speaking on dumsor and promising tmelines. Same way your boss, Dr. Bawumia told Ghanaians the dollar was under key and locks with the IGP. Latter on after messing up the economy, he became the "driver's mate" I wonder how you guys are claiming to be PhD holders yet, you have no common sense. Now, Bawumia moves from one church to the other preaching Zachariah 4:1.
another dumb, empty mind lair with PHD, next month is just next week wednesday, if you and Bawumia think you are clever, Ghanaians are wise, spudiid PHD holders
These guys should stop insulting us. The joke is too much
Do you now work with ECG or this is one of Bawumia's promises??
