National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Adamu Seidu, has revealed that its inability to pay its caterers for the past seven months is as a result of budgetary constraints.
According to Mr Seidu, the Finance Ministry is yet to release monies to them to pay their caterers.
There have been agitations by caterers hired under the school feeding programme due to non-payment for the past 7 months.
Mr Seidu, however, gave the assurance that as soon as the Finance Ministry releases the monies, the caterers will be paid, adding that the programme should not be blamed for the delays.
