David Bowie's family have said they are 'overwhelmed' by the love and support they have received following the death of the pop icon.
In a statement posted to the late singer's official Facebook page, the family revealed arrangements were being made for a private ceremony 'celebrating the memory of their beloved husband, father and friend'.
It follows reports the 69-year-old, who died of liver cancer on Sunday, had been 'secretly cremated in America without friends or family present' after the star told loved ones he did not want a funeral.
