The implementation of the revised Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) rate of 1 percent kicks off today, Wednesday, January 11.
The service providers who will be implementing the directive are Airtel Mobile Commerce (Ghana) Limited, GCB G-Money, Mobile Money Limited, Vodafone Mobile Financial Services Limited and Zeepay Ghana Limited.
The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has assured "the general public that its members are working assiduously with the GRA and other key institutions, to ensure a seamless implementation of the revised levy from Wednesday, January 11, 2023”.
In a statement, the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications added: “as captured in the Electronic Transfer Levy (Amendment) Act, 2022, Act 1089 which has been passed by parliament and assented to by the President, the levy on electronic transfers has been reduced from 1.5 per cent to 1 per cent, while the GH₵100 threshold remains unchanged.”
"Following the directive from the Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) the implementation of the revised Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) rate of 1% by Airtel Mobile Commerce (Ghana) Limited, GCB G-Money, Mobile Money Limited, Vodafone Mobile Financial Services Limited and Zeepay Ghana Limited, will commence on Wednesday, January 11, 2023"

It is sad what the citizenry going through ,now we are slap with a lot of taxes .It seems gov. does not want people get profit. The worse is the taxes which is meant for development about 90% is spent on our leaders .Gov . is not ready to reduce expenses more but now transfer it debt exercise on individual investment .God save us.
Just imagine, A firemans small salary, Fire service Management deducts fireman insurance policy 55 cedis, regional welfare 50 cedis, SIC 60 cedis, and they also deduct FISLA 50 cedis for women, management wants to introduce another one called group insurance 100 cedis, tema regional welfare also want to deduct senior officers welfare, 150 cedis with all these burden on firemen, Fire service management want to increase all these deductions again just because government will be increasing salaries to cushion us against the current hardship Does it mean that fire service top management don't know hardship anaaa, we are suffering, the deductions are too much, Hon interior minister we need your intervention Now, # SAVE THE FIREMAN NOW#
