BNIs Foolish Case Scuttling My Presidential Dreams Gambila

A former Upper East regional minister, Boniface Gambila, has poked the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for being behind an evil agenda aimed at scuttling his presidential ambitions. Gambila, who was a minister during the era of ex-President J. A Kufuor, spent a night in a BNI cell last Thursday over alleged wrongful purchases during his tenure as the National Service Secretariat director. He was refused access to his counsels until Friday leading to his release. The former minister upon his release told Citi News the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is using the intelligence outfit to ruin his political career as a parliamentary aspirant for the Nabdam seat and as a future president of Ghana. He said the development will not deter him from pressing on with his political goals because the BNI is pursuing a foolish matter. It is a clear indication that there is a syndicate behind this and not only my seat but as the future president of Ghana after Nana Akufo-Addo [NPP flagbearer], Gambila claimed. They want to stifle that. He added: I have the potential to be president of Ghana and perhaps that is why they have started with my detention like Nkrumah. When I started my national service in 1987 I predicted that I would be the national service director and then I became that. So the next step is the presidency. Gambila is now a free man until the BNI finds it necessary to invite him again to assist with investigations.
