President Mills Takes His Annual Leave

The President of Ghana, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, has disclosed that he will be taking his annual leave after seeing to some pressing national assignments. Speaking to journalists in Accra on Wednesday, Prof. Mills said he will take a rest possibly after a trip to Canada and the US before the end of the year. At the moment, the president said, government is busy preparing the budget for 2012 and that has taken a great deal of his time coupled with recent industrial strikes from the labour front. "I intend to go on leave very soon," Prof. Mills told the press at the seat of government, Osu Castle. "I have some assignments in Canada and US and after that I can take some days leave." "At the moment we are busy working on the budget for 2012 and once it is ready I can see my way clear to go and rest."
