CPP Is The Best

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, who was the 2008 Presidential Candidate for the CPP has stated clearly that the Convention People's Party (CPP) is the only political force that has the requisite development policies to appropriate ideology that is practical enough to make Ghana strong, disciplined and prosperous. According to Dr. Nduom, both NDC and the NPP have since the commencement of the 4th Republic had the opportunity to demonstrate what they can offer to the people of Ghana. However, the results show that the living standards of the masses has not improved or made better. He cited the plight of many Ghanaians, most especially the youth including a very high unemployment rate to make the point that there was the need for Ghanaians to consider an alternative, which is the CPP. Dr. Nduom declared that it is only the CPP that can bring about massive development, economic transformation and total utilisation of untapped potentials in Ghanaians. Dr. Nduom made these known when he helped open 7 offices in the Ashanti Region. The constituencies which were privileged to benefit from Dr. Ndoums expressed goodwill to help open more offices for the party, in order to make strong showing in next year's General Election included Asante-Akim North, Asante Akim South, Bosome-Freho, Ejisu-Juaben, New Edubiase, Kumawu, and Adansi-Akrofrom. Dr. Nduom said the CPP has critically analysed and assessed its performance in previous elections and has come out with strategies to achieve electoral success in 2012. He vowed to do everything possible to resource the party and provide it with the needed logistics. Before the commissioning of these respective offices, the CPP delegation made up of national, regional and constituency officials paid a courtesy calls on the Traditional Leaders who were available and present in the towns these party offices are situated. These visits were all preceded with a brass band procession throughout the principal streets of the various towns. The first point of call was Juaso in the Asante-Akyem South Constituency, where the first office was commissioned. The next was Konongo in the Asante-Akeyme North to commission the constituency office there too. There, the team was welcomed in an overwhelming display of enthusiasm by the party members and people present. The tone of euphoria surrounding the commissioning of these offices was replicated in all the constituencies visited. Again, Dr. Nduom and his team moved on to Kumawu Constituency and met with the chiefs and people of the area, where Ashanti Regional Chairman, Dr. Theophilus Coffie presented two bottles of schnapps and an undisclosed amount to the Chief and his elders on behalf of the CPP. Dr. Coffie commended the efforts of the constituency executives and asked them to recruit more people to join the party. Mrs. Mary Boakye-Boateng the National Womens Organiser and former National Organiser, Evelyn Anabila promised to support the constituencies to complete their polling station organization work. In his opening speech, Dr Nduom disclosed that Kumawu Constituency used to be for the CPP, based on the fact that one of the vibrant of pillars of the Kwame Nkrumah government, the late Krobo Edusei was a CPP champion in that particular constituency. He indicated that Krobo Edusei was one of the true sons of this nation who worked selflessly in the interest of the CPP and ultimately, Ghana. He urged members of the party to emulate the good display of the enthusiastic commitment of Krobo Edusei, so that party members put away their individualistic agenda and make gross sacrifices for the party, so that come 2012, the CPP will ascend to the seat of government again. Dr Nduom tasked the constituency executives to recruit more people into the party and organize them to win more parliamentary and presidential votes for the CPP.
